English Training 4

So, it's time for English training again, haha. This time, the topic is about my new colleague, the designer. Since I chanced a new job, taking charge of a job website, the main responsibility is low level programming of the website(including service and persistence tier), so the closest colleague of mine will be the designer.

I feel so lucky that this designer is a foreigner, she is nice, and she doesn't know any Chinese. There are two reasons for me to feel that lucky. The first one is that I feel more accustomed to working with foreigner in IT area, because I study computer from many books written by foreign IT worker, and I am used to look and think in their way. It's more comfortable to work with my new nice co-worker. The other reason is that I have to communicate with her in English, the meeting of our group is in English too. It's a good chance for me to practice my English skill, a wonderful chance, haha ^_^

English Training 3

This article is about the future. Future is the time period that are coming. I haven't enough English writing skill to present this topic in a good way, so I just wanna talk something about my future.

In the following is the hot, fresh life planning of mine:
1. use the next two years to build up my career, and help my new company to be the best of the relative industries in Macao.
2. prepare the IELTS for the Chevening Scholarship.
3. go aboard. The first choice is the University in England.
4. spend about one year for traveling around Europe if I can go aboard.
5. come back, and choose a new place for rebuilding my career.

I'll adjust my plan in the future to make it more suitable for me. Just like the movie "Paycheck" presented: if the people knew their future, they would have no future. We can dream the future because we don't know the future. On the other hand, we can try our best to make our future more beautiful. That's the thing we called "Hope".

English Training 2

I believe 2007 will be one of the most important year in my life. In this year, I will be working in a new company for a new position. Although it's still a technical position, not only the technical works, but also some strategic works that could I do.

I like this kind of job more than my original job(before the 15/Jun/2007, it's still my current job), because I have more opportunity to perform my ability. I'm still a technical engineer now, but I know that I can find out more potential value in this "non-pure" technical position.

PS: In the Christmas holiday, I went out to Shanghai and had some difficulty in writing blog, so I missed one post for English training. I'll write one more post in my free time as a compensation.

English Training

In order to adopt my english teacher, Eddie's suggestion, I decide to write at least one web log in english each week.

I found it's very difficult to say something in fully english, especially the things I am not familiar with. But I'll try my best. One article per week, it's not really hard for me, and I hope it's also not too hard for you guys to read it(You can just ignore this type of articles, of course). If you find any mistake in my articles, you can tell me in the comment, of course do it only if you like. I'll feel so glad to see your helping.

Let's begin now. Today's topic is my favorite job. I'm a software engineer now, but I have no interest in doing the engineering work for a long long time. I've much curiosity to know the new things, and I like to touch different people, so my favorite job is being an IT consultant. As a consultant, I can use my knowledge and experience to help people who don't know the IT related problems clearly, and also I can touch many people in my daily work, which is very important. I don't like to put myself in the corner and work and work without any other companies.

For being a consultant, two things are very important. One is working experience in the IT area(professional technology included), and the other is the communicating skill. The former I'll accumulate in the working life. And for the communicating skill the most important is english ability(it make me can communicate with other people in the world without boundary), it needs me practice times and times...

I don't know that how long I need to wait for the chance coming(to be a consultant), but I'll insist on approaching it, just like the sentence written at the top of this page, walking my road and this is my road.
